Well, talking about food here, no about photo! Surely you ever heard the quote: "photograph does trick". Well, really I have to admit that (for I'm a photographer, rookie, to be frank), because that is what photographer should do.
When I came into a restaurant and ordered food based on the menu's images, I often found that the food served was different compared with the menu's images. For example, Chicken Katsu in one Japanese Restaurant looks big in it's menu images, but in contrast, it is really small! These kind kind of problem can be found in some fast food restaurant, but not in Toni Jack's .
Toni Jack's used to be known as McDonald's which is owned some by Mr.Bambang R. In one Toni Jack's restaurant, I saw images of burgers which were very tempting, for it looks big and juicy. I ordered one. And I quite surprise after knowing that the burger is smaller than it looks, and the patty is thinner. Then I look at the images again and I realize, that they use the same size of the bun and the same thin patty as I eat in the images.
What makes it big and tempting? The answer is, the photographer. The photographer succesfully shot them and makes it tempting because that's what they get paid for.
So, in conclusion, we can't always blame the restaurant for using unactual size for it's menu, sometimes, blame the photographer!
PS: Toni Jack's is almost the same as Indonesian McD. The difference comes on the name of the menu, and the prices which was cheaper. "Better than that one" is the motto. Provokative isn't it?
