Homesick

I guess it's been a while eh? No, currently I'm not having a homesick, I just wanna talk about it, for now.

It's been a couple month for me and my friends here in DVC (it's my 5th month, some entering their 3rd), and they started to miss their home for some reason. It could be because they live alone in here (literally no roommate), or the extreme case, being alienated and having only a few friends.

As far as I know, there are two friends of mine who having those symptom, one manage to overcome it, while the other is just begun feeling it. She feel alone simply because she has few to trust, really few, and I guess she miss her condition back in Indonesia.

Does anyone know how to help her?

Anyhow, in case you're questioning wether I had or have homesick yet or not, yeah. I had once, but not in high stadium. I manage to recover quickly.

I believe homesick have to be cured as soon as possible. If it don't it will ruin both of our daily and academic life. Try to cheer.

Degradation

"Wow, I'm graduating from high school, but I do wanna play child's sand art"

"I'm about to attend college and right now I'm watching Toy Story 1 and 2 (again) and cried like a little child."

"I'm 17 going on 18, and I'm visiting theme park, excited like a little boy taken there by my pa and ma."

Those kind of quotes, were heard by me recently, and I thought some of it too. Why could those things slip to our mind lately? We're graduating from high school, and about to attend college but we often think like we're 5th or even 3rd grader!

One night, i finally come with an answer, rises in my mine. All of us, the senior high student are afraid. Deep down inside, we're afraid of growing up. Some of us, afraid of losing things we enjoyed, things we loved, things we have in this moment.

Deep down inside we're all wanna be forever young.

Menghitung Hari

Ya menghitung hari. Itulah keadaan dari siswa-siswi kelas 3 atau 12 SMA. Mereka menunggu pengumuman kelulusan mereka.

Jocks Vs Nerds/geeks

There are caste in high school, the popular one most of them called jocks are in the higher and highest level while the lower class, mostly nerds or good boy/girls.

Jocks is a classic North American stereotype of a male athlete. Usually they 'rule' the high school along with their popular girl, and not only in US, but also in my country, Indonesia. They usually do whatever they want for example bullying schoolmate they considered as nerds, loser and so on. They usually think they're strong, cool, and popular, plus they don't care about their academic stuff.

Nerd is a term often bearing a derogatory connotation or stereotype, that refers to a person who passionately pursues intellectual activities, esoteric knowledge, or other obscure interests that are age-inappropriate rather than engaging in more social or popular activities. They usually considered as uncool people and usually, the higher class won't even see their existence. Nerds could be those who study all the time, those who didn't join any sport clubs, or those who aren't popular.

There are one unique statement that crossed my mind recently. Jocks are one of those who 'rule' the school, but know what? The world are being ruled by nerds! Can't believe it? Should I say, Bill Gates? Mark Zuckeberg? James Walles (founder of Wikipedia)? And the genius Einstein?

Be ware Jocks! Be ware you popular kids. Your reign won't be long! Enjoy it while it last. You geeks and nerds, stay positive! You could rule the world. And you could rule the jocks too.

Well, I never say jocks can't be as successful as nerds or nerds and geeks will always success. To become someone in the world (meaning: success), you need more than lucks! You need to work hard and have faith to achieve it. Cheers!

The Power of Kepepet

Fisika vs Mat in my opinion

Sorry, but no thanks!

Back To The Reality

After 2 weeks of heaven (holiday and study tour), now we (I'm) are back to the real life. Back to school, back to work, back to the reality. Fok.

2 weeks of happiness were swept in a second by my lovely physic teacher who gave us exam. 2 weeks of happiness were blown in a millisecond by hills of assignment. 2 weeks of cheers were destroyed by nightmares of exams!
Gosh! FOK!

Enough blabbing about that. Look forward. There're million and billion ways to cheer one up in extreme (stressful) condition. Those things could be their hobbies, movies, their idol, or their pet.

DO NOT let your work/school/assignment stressed you up. If you could, you're the one who have to make them stress(?). And don't forget to balance your life between job and rest, if you're not able to, maybe you're life will be shortened..

Well?

Talking About Organization

Be Profesional, and Keep in touch!

I love you all!

Something To Unite Us

There are things to unite people. No matter how good or how bad it is, that uniting things, are exist. I'm gonna speak, reflecting on what I saw today at school.

Topics, are one of the best things to unite people! You might not know who in the world he/she was, but soon after you realize that you have or you like something in common, you might be friend with him/her.

It doesn't happen always, but usually it is! For example, a friend of mine who likely to speak to others classmate (she only talks to her close friends only in class) now is starting to blend with them. Because of what? K-Pop! Can't you imagine that?

For boys, usually things to unite them are topics around football (soccer) or basketball.

Things to unite them may be funny or unrealistic, but it really unite them!
So? United We Stand!

Facing The Test

2. Pelajari subjek yang lebih mudah! Anda dihadapkan 2 mata ujian contohnya, Matematika dengan Agama? Pelajari agama dulu, baru matematika. Kalau terbalik, niscaya pelajaran agama akan terbengkalai.

3. Ingin begadang? Perlengkapi diri anda dengan makanan kecil beserta kopi/teh. Takut gendut?

Kalau sedang kepepet, jangan buka internet! Apalagi sempet-sempetnya baca artikel kayak begini!

Met juang. Semoga artikel ini membantu.

School-holm Syndrome

Ever heard of Stockholm Syndrome? No, it's not Muse' song but it is really a syndrome. Let's see some explanation:

Stockholm syndrome : a psychological response sometimes seen in abducted hostages, in which the hostage shows signs of loyalty to the hostage-taker, regardless of the danger or risk in which they have been placed.

Right now, I'm not talking about that Stockholm Syndrome. It's also a syndrome, but it occurred in my real life! This syndrome is seen in 12th Grade Science class in my school, but I believe that it happened in other school as well.

I name it: "School-holm Syndrome".

School-holm syndrome: a physiological response, usually seen in senior year student of the Indonesian high school (grade 12/ 3 SMA), in which someone show something they probably never did before.

Sign and Sypmptomps:
1. The student will act crazily, example, they immidiately formed a formation of table soon after the physics teacher tell them to do some (home)works.

2. Student studying either math or physic or chemistry or some other subject(s) even though there are no exam at all that day, during recess.

3. Student's stares are blank, understand less or nothing at all during lectures.

4. They're starting to see things that they learned in science or social in daily life, to things are not important. For example, when a student see a rat, he/she imagine the anatomy of the rats, the digestive system or even it's nerve system!

Complication:

May cause fever, cough, influenza and several other disease if reached the worse level. And sometimes, could lead to mental breakdown (okay, I'm kidding!).

Those are the symptoms shown based on today's (July 28th) observation during school. My classmates really did symptom number during the first recess, and it happened to me too! So, what do you think? Are those statements true? Or if you found more symptomps, please tell me, so I am able too add more. Thanks! Cheers!

Long Live SCHOOL, hoek!

Looking Back the Holiday

Well, the long 'wait' is about to end, tomorrow, every student of SMAK IPEKA will be back to their 'lovely dearest' schools.

Tomorrow, schools will start with another flag ceremony, and others. The good thing is, there are some possibilities of school won't start to teach immediately, well, like meet and greet with new teachers and so on.

Before stepping into the hell of school, let's see what usually happened back in every holiday.

1. Insomnia
It happened to almost, every student or people who have long holiday (minimum 3 weeks). This usually happened because they sleep late everyday, and they have nothing to do especially in the afternoon, so they take naps, which lead their eyes wide open at night. To prevent this, make sure you have things to do during day, and sleep less at daytime and sleep early during night.

2. Bored at Home
For those who is unable to manage their time , or even make a plan well, this certainly will happened. People (especially students) are used to do lots of homework, are having jet lag, because usually they have less to do during holiday. To prevent this, make sure you have lots of holiday plan with family or friends, and maximize your friend to do activity!

3. Checkmate Overseas
What does it mean? It similar with the 2nd point, but it happened in other country, meaning you experience it when you're traveling. Is that possible? Of course, especially if you end up 2-3 weeks in small country such as Singapore.

4. Food Viesta!
You eat lots of food, when having breakfast, lunch, dinner, or even when you're doing things such as watching movie (with pop-corns), or reading novel (with chocolate or crackers). That simply able increase one's weight, drastically. To prevent this? I don't think there are any, but to prevent weight from increasing, simply by doing exercise, swimming, playing sports with your friends (it also help you solve problem no.2).

5. Wallet Exploded
This usually happened to a lower mid-class society who make friends with higher mid-class society. The higher mid-class (make it shorter: HMC) society usually spend more money than their friend, the lower mid-class society (LMC), and when they are hanging out, the HMC simply hangs the LMC's budget. For example a LMC hanging out with other LMC, they prefer cheaper lunch (rate: Rp.10k-20k), but a HMC, usually spend about Rp 30-40k (minimum!). So, the LMC's wallet, is potentially explode!

And that's all folks for holiday. And we're facing a brand new begining, another year, another class, another homeworks, another torturement, another hell. Oh man..

By the way, this is the day, when Manchester United used to attend, and having a friendly match with ISL Allstar. And now it's just a dream yet to be true. Thanks to the fucking terrorist. My perfect way to end this holiday simply vanished, along with Friday's Black Smoke.

New Class

New class now. Still number 2 though. Well, I just feel strange about it, I'm not pleased nor upset.
Well, still, I hope it's going to be fun.

To bad is, I'm not with Marv again, well, if he's with me, he would do something crazy yet funny.

After all, I still in the same class with (some of people that can be considered as) my friends.
The list? Write their initial only.

STW, HY, DH, VJ, SL, LB, and some other futsal fellow.
Fun, I bet it is. Joyful? Hope so.

Farewell Science 2 (again) and Kwo Tie!

XI IPA 2's new friend by Ivan

Right, first of all, talking about the farewell of my class, XI-Science 2 which happened yesterday, it's crazy, feel that everything is facing it's end now. Happy, sad, curious, satisfied, disappoint, all those feeling are mixed into some unexplainable feeling in my head. Strange isn't it? I was once hate this class, because of one person, but now I think I'm going to miss this class.

Still, for me this class is perfect for me to grow, even though it wasn't as enjoyable as X-1, but I can't grow as good as when I was this class member.

Thank you everyone.
Oh, by the way, Marvin of Marfology also post something about this farewell. Feel free to see! (Hey Marv, I'm promoting your blog!)

All right, to next issue.
I just experience one of Chinese's traditional food, called Kuo Tie. Kuo Tie is something more like dumpling, but it's kinda roasted instead of boiled till tender. It has some kind of things that is made by mixing things like soya sauce, garlic, vegetables oil. Mix it well.

Kuo Tie itself consist of meat, pork or chicken, some vegetables.

I taste Kuo Tie near Glodok, central of Jakarta, and it's taste good! The price, actually is not cheap I think, but affordable. It cost about Rp.2,000.00 ($0.25) each.

Kuo Tie

It's so yummy! Damn, I really want to have more. I ate about 13 piece today and still, it hadn't satisfied me!

Well, I'm outta here. Korea, here I come!

Week(s) of hell!

Yeah, this following weeks are hell for every SKIPI's student!

Guess what? Other schools are finished or finishing their final exam, and when this post is made, we barely even started!

Gosh! The first week, there're 2 killer subject.
1.Math
2.Physic

If they're alone, I believe that I still can handle it, but they're not alone.
Here's the schedule:

Day 1: Christian Subject + Technology and Information = Light appetizer.
Day 2: Math + History, an "I-care-not-subject" = Direct Hit
Day 3: Physic + Civic Study: An early genocide.

Gosh, please, support us to survive these tortures!

Well, there's lot of things that I wanna do after those 3 days of slaughter.
By the end of the week, I really love to do:

1. Watch Drag Me To Hell, with friends (hey Marv!).
2. Doing some photo shoot with Marv.
3. Make a family-wannabe photo as a souvenir for Audrey.

Hell yeah, bring it on!
